About me

Rocío Giner began studying dance at the age of 8. She studied at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Valencia where she finished her career in Spanish dance in 2007.

During her studies she did numerous performances with the Conservatory of Dance. Besides Spanish dance, she studied other dancing disciplines with great teachers of classical dance, contemporary, oriental, funky, jazz, hip hop and classical Indian dance. During and after, she studied with teachers such as Rafaela Carrasco, Milagros Menjíbar, Carmen Ledesma, Güito, Antonio Canales, Israel Galván, Antonio and Manuel Reyes, Leonor Leal, «La Truco», Paco Romero, Stella Arauzo and so on.

In 2007 she performed in the show «Zarzuela Doña Francisquita”. In 2008, she took part of the Ballet Flamenco de Madrid Company under the direction of Sara Lezana in her show «Madrid Flamenco» and «Bizet’s Carmen”. She also performed at the most important flamenco tablaos like Casa Patas and El Clan in Madrid and La Cueva del Jazz en Zamora. Together with Titi Flores and Alicia Almeida she performed at “Sala Barco”, under the direction of Suma Flamenca 2009. In 2010, She participated as a guest dancer in Athens, with the company «The Greek» in his show «essentially pure Flamenco”.

In 2012, she was part of the Julia Grecos´ spanish ballet, dancing at the Castellón de la Plana auditorium and the Talia theatre in Valencia.

In 2015, she opened her own dance studio in Valencia City (Spain), which she combines with performances as an independent dancer,   her teaching and the daily work in order to improve her dance. Also, Rocio is currently working to present her own company.

In addition to her dance training, she has a Bachelor´s and Master´s degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
